Description

Symposium on the advances in tele-rehabilitation to apply in the health care services for indigenous communities in the Amazon region of Colombia. The tele-rehabilitation teams from Canada and Amazonian countries will share experiences and knowledge to establish a model of knowledge transfer on tele-rehabilitation for indigenous communities of Colombia and Canada, which provide a basis for action plan for the Amazon telerehabilitation initiative.

2. Understand the improvements and operational programs relevant to tele-rehabilitation (state of the science).

3. Hands-on, exercises and demonstrations of approaches, tools, and equipment used in telerehabilitation.

4. Provide a basis for an action plan for telerehabilitation in the Amazon region.

5. To establish a model of knowledge transfer on tele-rehabilitation for indigenous communities of Colombia and Canada, with special focus in community-based rehabilitation approaches.
